Julia Chang
The 3 stages of Julia.
1st Stage - the elbow.
ff+1. Julias elbow is mighty. It has good range and is very quick. As a pressure tactic, you can do the elbow, then follow with a quick 1,1,1 (g clef cannon) if they do anything after the elbow, then they get thrown into the air by the g clef cannon. For the juggle you can follow the g clef with a couple of elbows and a skyscraper kick (ff+1, ff+1~4 )
If the g clef is blocked, alternate with either
- 1,1,2 (the last hit comes out a bit slower but is pretty safe)
- 1,1,4,3 (goes low)
- qcb,f+2 (mad axes throw)
- another elbow
A word about Mad Axes. The qcb can be input a full second before the f+2. Also, the move buffers pretty good from the elbow. Just input the qcb after the elbow hits, and time the f+2 as Julia is recovered and standing in neutral the mad axes should pop right out as fast as the first hit of the g clef cannon. ouch.
Julias elbow game can be stuffed by characters with 8 frame jabs (like Paul, Steve, maybe Nina... I forget just who, but just know that it's not an air tight offense.)
Also, you can really abuse her elbow game, but, if your opponent doesn't fall for it, you will have to mix it up with another of her key strategies.
