More Heihachi
Now, I'll talk about s'more potent moves, and some strategy.
twin pistons
Twin pistons is an acceptable way to start a juggle. They don't launch quite as high as the WGF
but, they add variety, and have some extra range. There is some danger in using the twin
pistons. They can be reversed, and they don't track very well. Also, if you whiff, or if they
are blocked, you could seriously get beaten down.
some combos are
- twin pistons, 1,2, twin pistons
- twin pistons, 1+2
- twin pistons, twin pistons
to crouch cancel into the twin pistons, do f,N,d,d/f,N,f,d/f,1+2 or f,N,d,d/f,N,d/f,1+2.
Dark Thrust
man, i love this move. it is so sinister. ws+2. on a counter hit, it cripples your opponent in
a stun. from there you can do a quick combo (my favorite is dark thrust, 1,f,N,d,d/f,4,4,N,4)
or dark thrust to power punch.
It sets up like any other while standing move, when you duck an attack, you retalliate by
standing and dark thrust. Sometimes they crumple, sometimes they don't, but either way,
you're relatively safe.
you can buffer dark thrust in a crouch dash,
f,N,d,d/f,N,d,d/f,(f)+2 (the last foreward is optional. i find that the crouch dash motion buffered
into a qcf motion works well, but i don't think you need the whole motion to actually do
the buffer the dark thrust, but i find it easier to do it that way.
power punch
It's just like Pauls. qcf+2. the damage is about the same, and it's used the same way. It's a high
damage, low risk move. Use it to counter whiffed attacks, or for a medium/long range attack.
i don't know of any way to buffer the power punch in a crouch dash without a
horribly obvious pause, but if you do know how, please share :)
